Oh, Mistake Lake!
A Prior Lake lawyer was left feeling dumped on after receiving a bizarre message from Minnesota Governor Tim Walz who told her that his only reason for appointing her to the state court of appeals was because she was an “American Indian.”
Wheelock is filling the vacancy created by Carol A. Hooten’s departure.
Per the rules, Walz had to appoint someone from the Second Judicial District which includes Dakota County.
The bosshole Walz then tried to save face by having his Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan run a propaganda campaign, muttering that “Sarah Wheelock is a brilliant legal mind with a deep understanding of the laws of the land.”
Either way, Minnesotan’s deemed the appointment race based and the “funniest thing they’d ever seen.”
The appointment had less to do with hyper sensationalized propagandized statements attributed to Wheelock’s “brilliant legal mind” and more to do with Wheelock’s steering political donations to the Democrat party as a Legal Counsel for the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community in Prior Lake.
Mystic Lake Casino and Hotel has created the richest Indian tribe in the world with proceeds totaling several million distributed yearly to the nearly 500 members.
In 2016 alone, the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux pooled together to donate at least $500K to Democrats.
Though Wheelock didn’t specify how much she paid for the court of appeals appointment, the actual reason is a reward for political donations.
In a far more egregious correspondence calamity in January, an inside source reportedly described that Wheelock stole the seat by implying future donations to Walzs’ political party.
