In 2019, Judge Adam C. Yang violated a host of judicial canons in order to protect a racist US Attorney.
The Assistant US Attorney is well known for targeting black men with a campaign on Twitter called “Shirtless Shamers” designed to humiliate young black men by posting nude and semi-nude photos of the men.
The Assistant US Attorney brought false allegations and criminal charges against a man who was critical of the racist conduct.
Judge Yang allowed the Assistant US Attorney and her husband to falsely testify at trial on the bogus charges.
Despite audio recordings materially refuting their testimony.
Judge Yang allowed prosecutors to suppress exculpatory evidence. Judge Yang engaged in inappropriate ex-parte communications with the prosecutors and the Assistant US Attorney.
Judge Yang was assigned to the case to act as the “cover-up” crew for the Assistant US Attorneys racist threats and the Minneapolis City Attorneys’ Office unethical conduct.
Even more egregious, despite the existence of audio recordings and other exculpatory evidence, Judge Yang sentenced the man to the maximum sentence of three (3) months in prison on a first offense misdemeanor.
Judge Yang wanted to retaliate and silence the man who was critical of prosecutors and judicial officials.
Judge Yang should be removed from the bench and disbarred.
