At ProtestPress.com, we identify ourselves as ‘sedition hunters.’ In that role, we have built advanced software tools for finding insurrections like Slate.com reporter Aymann Ismail. Those advanced software tools beamed back that Ismail admitted in a recent article that he entered the United States capital on January 6th, 2021 during the unlawful riot. As evidence, he provides a photo that he took. A photo that he released in an effort to disparage a man needlessly.
Additionally, he stated “I filmed inside the Capitol riot.”
Mr. Ismail has not been arrested likely because of his ethnicity. He claims to be a “journalist” but that’s not a legal designation. It also does not give him a legal right to be in the Capital during the January 6th, 2021 riot.
Mr. Ismail should be arrested and prosecuted.
Egregiously, Mr. Ismail stated “there really are no consequences for white republicans are there…” in the below unrelated Tweet.
Despite Mr. Ismail’s tweet being somewhat racist, it is clear there really are no consequences for Muslims who attack the Capital during the January 6th, 2021 insurrection.
Moreover, it appears as though that Mr. Ismail has a pattern of attacking white men while at the same time failing to hold Muslims or liberals to the same standards. Mr.Ismail’s reports and views are not journalism. Rather, It’s a political witch hunt and hypocrisy at its finest.
